What can I do to help?

There are so many ways you could help, but it depends on how much you want to do, how much time you have to spare and what skill sets you have to offer.

We are currently in desperate need of someone to help us with a secretarial role.

Can you help us with minute taking; checking emails and the website to ensure everything is updated regularly and generally supporting the process? If you think this is something you'd like to do, please do get in contact via our email.

We also need three members of our community to sit on the steering group.

The steering group meets once a month, but members of this group also tend to have an active role in one of the sub groups as well. 

• You can attend any or all of our drop in sessions and other events to demonstrate your support

• You can come and talk to us at the Repair Cafe where we will have a presence

• You can join a sub-group which most interests you, to discuss issues and ideas. Those 5 sub- groups are Community, Heritage and Conservation; Economy, Business and employment; Infrastructure; Housing and development and Environment.

• You can help us gather the evidence we need to back up the policies we write and help us create surveys to gain views from the community.

• We need people who enjoy analysing data and who can make it visual by using things such as pie charts or graphs

• You can talk to your neighbours and friends and encourage them to let us know their views

• You can email us with your thoughts, comments,  or offers of help at BaughurstNP@gmail.com

• You can complete surveys the groups may put on this website to gather views and ideas. The next survey is now on this website on the 'have your say' page and we want even more people to complete it, so please, tell your neighbours and friends! We have received some early comments that this survey looks more at needs of working people within the parish and some comments suggest that we need to listen more carefully to everyone. The work we are doing right now is to try and decide which areas of need we have to focus on but we do still want to hear about your wishes and hopes for the parish into the future so will run a third and (hopefully) final survey addressing that a bit later. In the meantime, please also feel free to email us at  baughurstnp@gmail.com with any thoughts or views of things you wish us to consider. Be as creative as you want to with your ideas for what we need to improve the parish for future generations.

• But most of all, at the end of the process, we need you to be comfortable with the Plan and vote YES at the referendum
